By accessing or using the Resilient Heart Therapy website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Services

Resilient Heart Therapy provides telehealth therapy services to clients located in the state of California. The information on this Site is for general informational purposes and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Browsing this Site or contacting us through the Site does not establish a therapist-client relationship. A therapeutic relationship is only established after completing our intake process and signing the appropriate consent forms.

Eligibility

Our services are available only to individuals physically located in California at the time of their session. You must be 18 years of age or older, or have a parent/guardian's consent, to use our services.

Appointments and Cancellations

• Sessions are approximately 50-55 minutes for individuals and may be longer for couples.
• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
• Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee.
• A credit card is required on file for all clients.

Fees and Insurance

We are in-network with UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Optum. Copays and coinsurance amounts vary by plan. Out-of-pocket rates: $200/session (Cheryl Tarnofsky, LMFT), $175/individual session and $190/couples session (pre-licensed therapists). We will verify your benefits before your first session.

Confidentiality

All communications during therapy sessions are confidential and protected under HIPAA and California law. Exceptions include situations involving imminent danger to self or others, suspected child or elder abuse, or court orders.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Resilient Heart Therapy and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written permission.

Third-Party Platforms

This Site is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, or any other third-party platform. Any references to third-party services (e.g., Zocdoc) are for convenience only.

Limitation of Liability

Resilient Heart Therapy is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this Site. The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
